Say NO to Kagen

FromWorld Net Daily, a repost of great importance:
The push to hasten confirmation of President Obama’s nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court means the public can brace for the heated summer hearings over Elena Kagan’s beliefs and temperament.

But what WND’s reporting is revealing is making a stunning case against her.

Calling Kagan “an activist who wants to govern from the bench,” Joseph Farah, CEO and co-founder of WorldNetDaily.com, says there’s a way to give senators a “spine transplant” and prepare them for the most contentious confirmation fight since Clarence Thomas.

“Kagan is a radical anti-military and pro-abortion zealot,” said Farah. “This selection by Barack Obama reveals once again his extremist agenda of leaving America undefended, elevating alternative lifestyles to sainthood and exterminating the most innocent human life with reckless abandon and persecuting anyone who tried to stand in the way. In a nutshell, that’s who Elena Kagan is.”

Farah’s goal is to inundate senators with thousands of letters calling for her rejection for a lifelong appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court.

The letter campaign is based on previously successful efforts in which nearly 10 million “pink slips” were delivered to members of Congress opposing nationalization of health care, cap and trade legislation, hate crimes laws and other bills, as well as the current campaign to stop amnesty in the U.S. Senate.

The letter reads:

“In a few months, the American people will have a chance to speak at the polls again. Almost every analyst and every public opinion survey suggests the electorate is angry about the direction of the country. I strongly urge you not to show contempt for the will of the people and the Constitution by confirming the Supreme Court nomination of Elena Kagan.

“Kagan is not what Americans want and she is not what the country needs.

“At a time when federal central control is strangling the American economy, she calls for more regulatory authority not just in Washington, but for the president himself.

“At a time when American security is facing internal and external threats and our nation is still engaged in two foreign wars simultaneously, she advocates banning military recruitment on campuses because of her compulsion to see open homosexual behavior flaunted in the ranks.

“At a time when Americans have been stripped of their ability to write their own laws protecting the lives of the unborn, she advocates the creation of task forces to investigate and prosecute peaceful pro-life activities.

“At a time when Americans are recognizing the unique blessings of their Constitution, she advocates the consideration of foreign laws in shaping Supreme Court rulings.

“For all of these reasons and more we will surely learn about in the days ahead, please reject the nomination of Elena Kagan.”

Don’t forget to sign the petition to stop Kagan’s nomination.

What else can be said?  Another battle to be valiantly fought…

Fool For a Day

To repeat a well known phrase from our beloved Diamond Tiger, Today’s AYFKM/Hypocrite Of  The Day Award goes to:

RUPERT MURDOCH:

“I don’t think we should be supporting the Tea Party or any other party,” he said. Earlier this week, the network published an article to its website that was semi-critical of the tea party.

ROTFLMAO, at the risk of sounding cynical…when was the last time Rupert Murdoch didn’t take a side, especially when it has to do with money?!  Recently having strengthened his alliance with the Saudi’s, whose holdings in FOX recently increased by  14% , Murdoch is hardly in a position to cry “FOUL!” at someone for taking a side.

Sean Hannity

WASHINGTON – Angry Fox News executives ordered Sean Hannity to abandon plans, announced as late as this afternoon on his nationally syndicated radio program, to broadcast his TV show from a Cincinnati tea-party rally he was headlining, a Los Angeles Times media blog reported.

Hannity, on a book tour for his No. 1 best-seller “Conservative Victory: Defeating Obama’s Radical Agenda,” was scheduled to be the featured speaker at a four-hour rally at the University of Cincinnati – with as many as 13,000 in attendance. Proceeds from the event were to benefit a local tea-party organization.

But senior Fox News executives said they were not aware Hannity was being billed as the centerpiece of the event or that tea-party organizers were charging for admission to Hannity’s show as part of the rally. They first learned of it this morning from John Finley, Hannity’s executive producer, who was in Cincinnati to produce Hannity’s show,  reported the Times’ media blog “Show Tracker.”

Attendees were being charged a minimum of $5, with seats near Hannity’s set going for $20.

The execs reportedly recalled Hannity to New York to do his show in his regular studio. The network plans to do an extensive post-mortem about the incident with Finley and Hannity’s staff.

“Fox News never agreed to allow the Cincinnati Tea Party organizers to use Sean Hannity’s television program to profit from broadcasting his show from the event,” said Bill Shine, the network’s executive vice president of programming, according to the Times blog. “When senior executives in New York were made aware of this, we changed our plans for tonight’s show.”

Last week, News Corp boss Rupert Murdoch said before a Washington, D.C. crowd that Fox News should not be supporting the movement.

“I don’t think we should be supporting the Tea Party or any other party,” he said. Earlier this week, the network published an article to its website that was semi-critical of the tea party.

Reached in New York, Hannity declined to comment other than to say he planned to do his show tonight in studio.

Recently, much to HuffPo’s delight, FOX published a semi critical article about the Tea Party Movement, giving sway to long time main stream media’s frenzied efforts to discount, demonize and derail the mounting number of Americans who have realized they are being tyrannized, lied to and swindled by their government and its complicit corporate media…

Ya gotta laugh, right?  I mean…come ON folks…could they BE any less transparent??
