OK, folks…that’s it. Our world is crumbling around us and the Yahoo headline today is…are you ready for this?:
Siobhan Magnus, the quirky contestant with the big voice, is cut from “American Idol.”
Now, I ASK you…WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO??!
That’s it for now…I must collect myself until I can compose a suitable discourse on something other than who just got kicked off American Idle Idol.
God help us, America. What HAVE we come to?
FOR INSTANCE…AND JUST FOR STARTERS…

Now, THAT, folks, is MAJOR headline news, or should be; the life of a brave Marine has been extinguished in Helmand Province, by the hand of enemy combatants, formerly known as “the enemy”. There are SERVICE MEN IN JAIL RIGHT NOW FOR TRYING TO DO THEIR JOBS AND PREVENT THE *ENEMY* FROM KILLING ANY MORE PEOPLE; the lives of the family and friends of this Marine are, as of April 28, 2010, FOREVER CHANGED as a result of his death in the service of his country. NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY HAVE THE LUXURY OF A HOLIDAY OR EVEN AN AVERAGE WEEK DAY WITHOUT THE WOUND IN THEIR HEARTS THAT WILL NEVER HEAL, THE LOSS THAT CAN NEVER BE REPLACED…
And today’s top Yahoo headline is about some stupid TV show most people in the world have never even watched, let alone heard of.
So, once again, I ask you: WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE???!
And, more importantly–WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?
OK, Dame…breathe…collect yr thoughts…go read a poem…or three…
