We Are All Mothers, Today & Every Day

Happy Mothers’ Day to all of you who lend your attention, care and love, not only to children, but to your hopes and dreams, ideas and projects, businesses, Movements, friendships, communities, partnerships, animals and all else that comprises our lives. For we are all Mothers in many senses. We who apply ourselves and nurture anything, including ourselves, fit the bill for the Mother role at one time or another. And so, today, let us celebrate all of us, for the Mothers we all are, and have gratitude for the Mothers we are! But a special and heartfelt thanks to all of our Gold Star Mothers, including but most certainly not limited to Bev Perlson and Band of Mothers and Debbie Lee of Great American Warriors. May you find some small degree of comfort in the love, thanks and concern we send you.
